A message from our President
At ZyTech, we understand the significant role we play in the residential and commercial construction industry.
Our dedicated team, comprising of sales personnel, engineers, and designers, actively engages with our customers’ projects from inception. Following meticulous design processes, our production staff manufactures a range of high-quality engineered wood products. These products are seamlessly integrated into our logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery directly to job sites.
Founded in 1997 by Glenn German in Balzac, Alberta, ZyTech has now evolved into the premier supplier of engineered wood construction materials in Western Canada.
Now in 2024, our alliance with Dick’s Lumber & Building Supplies has further strengthened our position. This combination has over 750 employees, each contributing their expertise, dedication, and creativity to our product development.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and superior materials, guided by the expertise of our talented team. Our ultimate goal is to transform these components into homes and workplaces that meet the evolving needs of our markets.

The Super Z
After the 2006 business year, our founder Glenn German witnessed super-human actions performed by the team in servicing their clients. He wanted to commemorate their efforts with a new logo. Thus, the ZyTech Super Z was born.
Today, ZyTech customers, suppliers and staff look to the Super Z as a daily reminder that they are part of a super organization centered on commitment, integrity and loyalty. Every ZyTech team member wears the Super Z with pride and has earned a spot on this high performing team.
Governance
Our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct requires all employees (including Executives, Managers, Supervisors and all workers) to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities.
