Account Manager (Sask)

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Term of Employment: Permanent, fulltime

Salary: Commensurate with candidate's skills and experience

We are searching for communicative candidates who are proactive and passionate about ZyTech and the clients we serve. Account managers will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships and always, strive to find the products which best fit the individual needs of the client. They will also aid internal departments by collecting information, processing and analyzing  client data and industry trends  to create new opportunities for business.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Execution and review of projects; survey details of project before submitting work to design and inspect work prior to releasing to production.
  • Manage our participation in new bid and tender opportunities.
  • Influence our input on project size, product and unit quantity, project start, competition on project, and pricing of project.
  • Organize timely and appropriate follow up with customers and internal peers assisting on the project work, to ensure you have a real time status on all areas of your customer orders. Ensure timely follow up to customers as required.
  • Update status and close outstanding job quotes, proposals and work orders.
  • Champion relationships and partnerships with other members of the sales team, and operations to create new opportunities for business.
  • Communicate in a timely way to inform the Branch Manager of any potential or additional sales opportunities or challenges.
  • Perform residential market research and analysis.
  • Actively seek and peruse new customers.
  • Capacity, passion and desire to follow-up and service our clients.
  • Manage our participation in new bid and tender opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Four years progressive Sales experience in new home construction.
  • Competent to function in all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Expertise in processing of all new order paperwork with great attention to detail.
  • Well versed in both solid basic structural and design knowledge with a focus on current building codes and requirements.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills.
  • Drive success of your book of business by repeated demonstration of strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capacity, passion and desire to follow-up and service our clients.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Capable to pay attention to details and to follow processes to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Full working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word and ability to quickly learn ZyTech specific software.
  • Knowledge of construction and project management would be a definite asset.
  • Understanding of products and installation; EWP, floor and roof truss components, framing lumber, stairs, tall wall and engineering services.
  • Aptitude to read and interpret MiTek design drawings and ZyTech placement plans.
  • A positive attitude and desire to take on other duties as required.
  • Competent to build strong relationships with existing customer base, with the desire to bring in new customers and grow the business.
  • Ability to read and understand complex floor and roof layouts.
  • Confident, independent, energetic, and self-motivated.
  • Well organized with a strong ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
